Respawn Entertainment, the developer best known for developing Titanfall, Titanfall 2, Apex Legends, and Star Wars JEDI: Fallen Order, is reportedly at work on a brand new game. This new game is a first-person shooter featuring an emphasis on mobility, however, the report (via VentureBeat) specifically clarifies that this new first-person shooter game is not Titanfall 3

"It is a first-person shooter with triple-A ambitions, and the design team is striving for “mobility” and “style” as guiding principles," says the report.

Publisher Electronic Arts reportedly expects this new title to launch roughly around 2024 to 2025. It's said that Respawn Entertainment will spend the next year prototyping concepts for the game, that is will then build into a final product. It sounds as if the title is a single-player adventure.

It's a shame and a surprise to hear Respawn Entertainment isn't moving forward with a follow-up to Titanfall 2, nor one to Apex Legends given the immense popularity of that game. However, the studio has proven that they are one of the best when it comes to innovative, new titles within the first-person shooter genre. So, whatever they're working on, it's almost guaranteed to be good.
