After only a year of their announced team-up on this project, Nexon and Electronic Arts have decided to cancel the development of Titanfall Online.

According to Korean news site Game Focus (via Kotaku), the game's development team had spent over 3 years working on this next installment in the Titanfall series before ultimately calling it quits after poor in-house player testings.  Translations went into more detail as Nexon believes the full scope of the gaming market has changed over the last few years spent developing this game.

"It is true that Nexon and EA have agreed to cancel Titanfall Online under a business decision," a Nexon representative stated in the translated article.  "After much deliberation from both companies, it was decided that reallocating development resources to another project was better for the company."

Although this project fell through, the same representative went on to say that Nexon and EA still have a strong partnership for other Korean games, such as their collaborative work on Fifa Online 4.  The last tidbit from the translated article went on to state that no members from the Nexon development team would be leaving the company after the fallout from the project, and instead be moved to another project in progress.
