WOLFENSTEIN: YOUNGBLOOD For The Nintendo Switch Will Not Get A Physical Release

Some new information on Wolfenstein: Youngblood will have some Nintendo Switch owners very disappointed in Behtesda, as the latest entry in the Wolfenstein series is, apparently, not going to be getting a physical release for Nintendo's handheld hybrid console.

The news was first spotted by Nintendo Entertainment, who saw that GameStop listings for the game revealed the Nintendo Switch was not getting a physical copy, unlike the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and even PC versions. This has been corroborated by other sites like Amazon and Walmart, which also list the game as a digital-only title for the Switch.

Now, it is very easy to blame Bethesda for Wolfenstein: Youngblood not getting Switch physical release, but it is also very likely that the game simply won't fit in one cartridge, not matter how badly they want it to.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood for the Nintendo Switch will, however, come with a box with the download code, but that also means that users need to have some available space in their console, otherwise they won't be able to play the game; becoming even more of a problem since microSD cards aren't on the cheap side.

It is likely that either Bethesda or Nintendo have their good reasons for Wolfenstein: Youngblood not getting a physical release, but this is disappointing news for Nintendo Switch owners, regardless of the reason.
