Electronic Arts Confirms - A New BATTLEFIELD Is Coming In October

A next Battlefield will be released this October. Electronic Arts has confirmed this (not shocking) news during an annual earnings call, and it seems that EA will try to directly compete with Call of Duty: WW2.

We've known that a new Battlefield is happening for quite some time. During the earnings calls with investors, Electronic Arts decided to reveal when we should expect the next installment of the Battlefield series and, as always, the upcoming game will be available this October.

We haven't learn anything new about the game, the title and setting still remain a mystery. What we do know it that EA learned from their mistakes and the Titanfall 2 fiasco, as the publisher will release only one shooter that month, giving the next Battlefield and BioWare's Anthem some space to breathe.

The rumors indicated that DICE is working on Battlefield: Bad Company 3, but informers close to the production say that the developer is working on a game that, just like last year's Call of Duty: WW2, will return to the World War II. Activision managed to successfully capitalize on players' nostalgia, so it's pretty safe to say that Electronic Arts will jump on the bandwagon sooner or later.
