Gamers will get their first taste of
Call of Duty's new battle royale mode, Blackout, next month. Thanks to a new teaser from Treyarch, we now have an official start date for when the private beta will begin - September 10.
Unfortunately, the teaser contains no actual gameplay clips but does confirm the beta will offer both the standard solos, duos, and squad gameplay sessions. The rest of the contents of the beta remain a mystery, though
we did get a sneak peek in a previous trailer for the prior multiplayer beta.
The Blackout beta will be private, which means you must pre-order a copy of
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 to receive access. Like before, the Blackout beta will arrive first on PlayStation 4 (on September 10) with other platforms to follow. If it's like the previous multiplayer beta, the first weekend will be exclusive to PS4, while a second beta weekend will open it up to both Xbox One and PC. Of course, this is all speculation. The only thing we know for certain is that the
Black Ops 4 Blackout private beta will begin September 10 first on PS4.
