Yesterday, a ton of information pertaining to the next installment in the Far Cry video game series leaked online via the PlayStation Store. Thanks to this leak, we now know when Far Cry 6 will release for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 (as well as presumably the Xbox One and Xbox Series X), where it's set, and a whole lot more — as you can see here.
Naturally, many assumed that Far Cry 6 will be officially revealed on July 12th during the Ubisoft Forward digital conference. Of course, this makes the utmost sense and there have also been rumors doing the rounds for a while now that claimed as much. Nonetheless, official confirmation is what actually matters — and now we've got it.
Following the significant leak, Ubisoft took to social media to confirm that the next entry in the Far Cry series will be officially unveiled during the Ubisoft Forward presentation on July 12th (tomorrow).
This official confirmation included a new look at Giancarlo Esposito's character, Anton. Prior to this tweet, we could only assume that Esposito was playing Anton, the game's antagonist. Now we know for sure. You can check out the tweet in question for yourself below (via @FarCrygame) and be sure to stay tuned to Gamefragger for coverage of Ubisoft Forward and Far Cry 6.
