ESPN's Madden Ratings Week has ended with EA revealing all of the player ratings for Madden NFL 22. EA and ESPN had partnered for the week, highlighting the best players at each position, including the members who will begin the year with a perfect 99 rating. These players are referred to as members of the 99 Club.
There are five players who will begin Madden NFL 22 with the highest possible rating off 99 overall: Patrick Mahomes (QB, Kansas City Chiefs), Travis Kelce (TE, Kansas City Chiefs), Davante Adams (WR, Green Bay Packers), Aaron Donald (DE, Los Angeles Rams), and Jalen Ramsey (CB, Los Angeles Rams).
Despite having two players with perfect overall ratings, the Chiefs are actually the second highest rated team in Madden NFL 22 at launch. The highest team is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a 92 overall rating, 90 defense rating, and 92 offense rating. Although the Chiefs having the best offense rating (96), their defense drags then down with just a 78.
Some other notable player ratings include rookie Trevor Lawerence, who was drafted No.1 overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars. The star quarterback is rated a 78 overall, which is best among other rookie quarterbacks but makes him the second best rated rookie in the draft class, behind Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts.
Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady continues to defy father time. The 43-year-old Super Bowl MVP begins Madden NFL 22 with a 97 overall rating, followed by Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
