Haemimont Games' critically acclaimed sci-fi city-builder
Surviving Mars has just received its very first major expansion, titled
Surviving Mars: Green Planet. While the base was focused more on colonizing the Red Planet and somehow surviving the complex process,
Green Planet will instead give you a truly unique chance to terraform Mars and watch as your colonizers begin to turn said world more green.
According to the developer, each decision you make will affect the game's vast world down the line, changing the terraforming parameters, which include the atmosphere, temperature, water, and vegetation. The title of the DLC gives away that you will be able to seed the surface of Mars with various lichen, shrubs, and trees, making the Red Planet more similar to our beautiful Blue Globe.
To play
Surviving Mars: Green Planet, you unfortunately need to own the base game on Steam – as the Paradox Interactive-published video game is also currently available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
In the meantime, be sure to take a look at
Surviving Mars: Green Planet's launch trailer down below:
Terraform Mars and make the hostile planet habitable for humanity. Each decision you make while managing your colony can affect the Terraforming Parameters, which include the Atmosphere, Temperature, Water, and Vegetation, and ideally brings them closer to habitable levels. Monitor your progress on a planetary scale with the Planetary Overview UI.
Surviving Mars: Green Planet is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC NOW!
