Earlier this week, Mojang Studios released Minecraft Dungeons, the latest entry in their critically acclaimed Minecraft series, and giving players a different experience than the original game offers; shifting its focus on the dungeon crawler genre instead.

Not a week after Minecraft Dungeons became available, Mojang Studios has announced that they're not done with the game, and that brand-new content is coming its way in the coming months. In fact, the developer reveals that this new content is only a bit over a month away from releasing.

Those who purchased the Hero Edition of the game may already know that Minecraft Dungeons is getting additional content down the line, but what Mojang Studios didn't reveal is that the first DLC of said additional content is actually becoming available in July in the form of Minecraft Dungeons: Jungle Awakens.

Mojang Studios still won't reveal the specific date in which the first DLC will be launching, but they did reveal that it will be featuring new missions, weapons, armour, and other artifacts at their disposal in order to overcome whatever challenges come their way.

The developer has also revealed that Minecraft Dungeons: Creeping Winter is the second DLC to be added to the game, although players will have to keep their eyes peeled for more information about this one, since it doesn't have an official release date, and information about it has yet to be revealed; Mojang Studios does promise that it will be released this year, though.

On top of this, Mojang Studios also shares the good news that crossplay will soon be implemented in Minecraft Dungeons, although the announcement is also rather vague — which is more than understandable considering that the game released 3 days ago; great news, regardless.

When a lonely, outcast Illager stumbles upon a mysterious object with terrifying powers, his entire existence is turned upside down. Before long, he finds himself on a path of evil, causing mayhem across the Overworld. Who can stop him?

Minecraft Dungeons is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, and PC.
