Soviet Lunapark VR was supposed to be a virtual-reality experience set in the
Atomic Heart world coming to PlayStation 4 and PC. In a news update on Steam, developer Mundfish announced that the VR title won't get a full release, as you can no longer purchase the video game. According to Mundfish, they have recently decided to ultimately stop supporting the game with new updates and content.
It's unclear if it applies to the single-player mode. Mundfish also hasn't revealed if those who bought the early-access version of Steam can expect to receive a proper refund. The VR experience used to give you a chance to immerse yourself in the bizarre and straight dumbfounding world of thinking machines and disgusting corpses in an alternative universe during the high noon of the Soviet Union.
In Mudfish's option, this decision will help the developer to put the focus on
Atomic Heart that will be released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2019, putting you in Agent P-3's shoes, who is trying to figure out what went wrong after an unsuccessful landing of enterprise "3826," facing dangerous and armed AI and an army of the living dead.
Soviet Lunapark VR servers will be shut down on March, 1, 2019.
Immerse yourself in the brilliantly crafted world of walking and thinking machines and the corpses, hungry for the living flesh! You will be able to choose one of four characters with unique abilities and take part in the dramatic events that happened at the Facility №3826.
Soviet Luna Park VR has been officially cancelled.
