Bandai Namco's
One Piece: World Seeker in an upcoming game based on the popular
One Piece manga and anime series; expected to release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on the
15th of March.
One Piece: World Seeker is the first title in the
One Piece series of games to feature an open world for players to explore. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew have arrived in Jail Island; where they'll go on quests and fight powerful enemies from the World Government and Germa 66.
Recently, we got a brand-new gameplay video that shows off 26 minutes of gameplay for
One Piece: World Seeker. As per the video, we get to see Luffy traversing Jail Island and going on some quests. The footage comes from a pre-relese build of the game, so it may not represent the final product. That said, the game looks pretty rough around the edges at times, and pretty good some other times.
Exploration in
One Piece: World Seeker looks quite fun, but facial expressions — especially for those who aren't necessarily considered main characters — look pretty bland.
Take a look:
The Straw Hat crew arrives on Jail Island where an ominous sense of danger seems to be looming. What could have attracted the World Government and the Germa 66 to this place?
One Piece: World Seeker will be available for the PlayStation, Xbox One, and PC on the 15th of March.
