Tomorrow, Sony is set to show off a plethora of games that will be available on their next-generation console — the PlayStation 5. Of course, there's hope and speculation that they will also unveil the console itself. Nonetheless, the writer behind Dead Space has teased that the project he has been working on for the past two years will finally be officially revealed during the event.
Rather than outright confirm it to be the case, Antony Johnston cheekily implies that his next game will be present. Johnston's tweet goes as such: "As some of you know, I've been working on a big videogame for almost two years now." Continuing, the British writer says: "In totally unrelated news, you should all watch the PS5 launch event on Thursday."
It's pretty clear what he's putting down. Furthermore, Johnston has fed into the anticipation and speculation with follow-up tweets. For instance, he plays up the fact that everybody is expecting it to be a horror game. Many are assuming it will be a Dead Space reboot or sequel; however, some are speculating that it could be something to do with Silent Hill.
Though, according to VentureBeat's Jeff Grubb, it isn't anything to do with Dead Space. Perhaps it's something original. Regardless, it's not like we have long to wait. You can check out all of the relevant tweets below (via @AntonyJohnston):
