Pocketpair has released Version 1.0.2 for Palworld, the second major patch since the game’s full 1.0 launch earlier in July. The update prioritizes stability, multiplayer reliability, and a range of bug fixes rather than adding new content or balance changes.
Several of the most important fixes target crashes and disconnections. Players on dedicated servers were experiencing full disconnects or crashes during the Panthalus battle. Those issues have been addressed. Additional crash fixes include problems that could occur when using Japanese text input in fullscreen mode.
Multiplayer and host-guest interactions also received attention. Terrain in The World Tree area could fail to display correctly for the host if a guest was already present when the host arrived. The Tower Boss Victor & Shadowbeak could disappear after using a teleportation attack. In the final boss fight, a guest’s light effect sometimes failed to appear correctly after respawning if the host defeated the boss while the guest was waiting. All of these problems have been corrected.
Achievement tracking has been improved as well. The "Predator Hunter" achievement and certain Pal Effigy-related achievements could fail to unlock even when the requirements were met. Xbox players also saw outdated icons for two Lifmunk Effigy achievements. These issues are resolved in the new patch.
On the technical side, Mac players encountered heavily distorted terrain graphics in The World Tree area that could make the region unplayable. That visual problem has been fixed. A separate issue affecting the appearance of the player model’s eyes during cutscenes or specific actions with certain face types has also been corrected.
Controls received several quality-of-life updates. Key rebinding is now available for the "Attack that enemy!" command and the Inventory menu. The patch also resolves problems that occurred when carrying over settings from versions older than 0.7, fixes conflicts involving the middle mouse button, and restores the missing Inventory Shortcut option in the controls menu.
Other smaller fixes include a mission-related fade-out bug that could leave the screen stuck after interrupted dialogue, a UI issue that sometimes displayed zero damage when mining ore, and general performance improvements in the Sunreach region that reduce processing load.
Version 1.0.2 does not introduce new Pals, areas, or gameplay systems. It is a targeted stability update aimed at cleaning up issues that appeared after the 1.0 content drop, particularly around newer zones like The World Tree and Sunreach, boss encounters, and multiplayer sessions.
The update is available now across supported platforms. Players who experienced crashes during major boss fights, missing achievements, or performance drops in the newer areas should notice meaningful improvements after downloading the patch. Pocketpair continues to monitor feedback as it supports the post-1.0 version of Palworld.
