Fans of adventure puzzle games will want to mark their calendars for June 19th as that is the upcoming release date of Pine Studio's The Academy: The First Riddle. The title will not only debut on PC but will also become available to mobile players via Android and iOS on the same day for half the price.
Respectively, the games go for $19.99 on Steam and $9.99 for mobile, both reasonable prices for the individual platforms. The developer has described the game as "Harry Potter meets Professor Layton," which is sure to intrigue players.
“We’re huge fans of the Professor Layton series and its colorful puzzles. We wanted to make a game that would allow players on all platforms to experience that thrill of getting a puzzle just right.
We are big fans of Harry Potter, so the school is greatly inspired by Hogwarts, but it’s also inspired by the architecture of our city, Zagreb. Early on in development, it became clear that what we actually set off to achieve was to capture the essence of being a kid - the feeling that adventure lies around every corner.” - Boris Barbir, Pine Studio
The title will also become available on consoles, with Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Nintendo Switch all receiving their releases later this summer. Take a look at the following images from The Academy: The First Riddle.
