Square Enix has been recently paying a lot of attention to their long-running
Final Fantasy series. The developer revealed, in September of last year, that they would be re-releasing a bunch of
Final Fantasy titles for players to enjoy on their current gen consoles.
From
Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon to heavy hitters like the original
Final Fantasy VII and
Final Fantasy VIII Remastered, Square Enix had really set out to giving players the best
Final Fantasy experience possible and, so far, they have delivered with flying colours.
Final Fantasy VIII: Remastered is the latest title that the developers have released, which became available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC(Steam) earlier last month; bringing with it all of the elements that have made the original a classic, while also adding a few extra features that make the experience even better.
Today, Square Enix has released a new — and quite lengthy, at that — behind-the-scenes video that gives us an in-depth look at the development process of the recently released
Final Fantasy VIII: Remastered; revealing a bunch of interesting details that fans of the
Final Fantasy series will more than likely appreciate.
It is also worth mentioning that the video is in Japanese, so don't forget to turn on the Closed Caption option when watching the video; unless you know Japanese, of course.
Take a look:
The Republic of Galbadia, under the influence of the sorceress Edea, mobilises its great armies against the other nations of the world. Squall and other members of SeeD, an elite mercenary force, join hands with Rinoa, a resistance fighter, to fight against Galbadia's tyrannical rule and to prevent Edea from fulfilling her ultimate goal.
Final Fantasy VIII Remastered is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC(Steam).
