Anthem was just released to everyone today, and it has gotten quite the feedback already, both positive and negative. It started out rough on some aspects and BioWare has definitely paid attention. Today, BioWare’s head of live service Chad Robertson gave an update regarding the game:
“Coming off our Early Access period, we understand that we have lots of work ahead of us to continue to improve the game. As a Live Service team, a core tenet for us is listening hard to the community. We use that insight to fix issues and make Quality of Life fixes to the game.
Our most recent patch – the one you are playing now — reflects your feedback. Many came from listening to you. Beyond that, we have a growing list of improvements we’re evaluating for the future. You’ll start seeing the next of those this coming week”.
This month we will be receiving three new freeplay events, Outlaw Outrage, There Be Giants, and Shaper Surge. There Be Giants which is out now, will spawn four new titans for you and your friends to hunt down. Next month we will be given new cosmetics in Elysian Stronghold caches as well as freeplay receiving both Shaper Surge and Outlaw Outrage. Legendary Missions are coming on March and they bring new item rewards when completed.
April will be received with seven freeplay events as well as an expanded progression system. We will also see the second phase of Legendary Missions accompanied by a new Stronghold-titled The Sunken. This update brings more challenges, guilds, and leaderboards. The Cataclysm coming in May will bring more missions, events, and item rewards.
“On a world left unfinished by the gods, a shadowy faction threatens all of humankind. The only thing that stands between these villains and the ancient technology they covet are the Freelancers.
Join with up to three other players and assemble high-tech, hand-crafted, uniquely powerful suits of armor. Explore vast ruins, battle deadly enemies, and claim otherworldly artifacts. With every mission, you and your Javelin grow in power. Fight the dangers of an ever-changing world. Rise united to defeat evil. Triumph as one.”
Anthem is out now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC
