Code Vein is a new Souls-inspired title, developed and published by Bandai Namco, that was announced in April of 2017. Other than the fact that it is a game that plays similar to other Bandai Namco titles like
Bloodborne and the
Dark Souls series, we've barely had any information regarding this upcoming Souls-like game.
In June of last year, after a whol year since the game had been announced, Bandai Namco finally revealed
Code Vein's official release date, which would've seen the game releasing in September of last year. Sadly, in September of that year the developer announced that
Code Vein was not going to be releasing in 2018 at all; letting us know that the game would end up being released in a yet-to-be-determined date in 2019.
Today, Bandai Namco has released a brand-new trailer for the long-awaited
Code Vein, showing off some gameplay and giving us some more details about the game's story. Alongside the new trailer, the developer has also confirmed, this time for real, that
Code Vein will finally be releasing for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on the
27th of September.
Take a look:
In the not too distant future, a mysterious disaster has brought collapse to the world as we know it. Towering skyscrapers, once symbols of prosperity, are now lifeless graves of humanity’s past pierced by the Thorns of Judgment. At the center of the destruction lies a hidden society of Revenants called Vein. This final stronghold is where the remaining few fight to survive, blessed with Gifts of power in exchange for their memories and a thirst for blood.
Code Vein will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on the 27th of September.
