In the Greco-Roman tradition, the Seven Deadly Sins are represented by Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, and Pride. According to the Darksiders lore, they're not only the classification of vices within Christian teachings, but also pretty nasty, real beasts. The threequel's main protagonist, Fury, has to kill them all to break the terrible curse and free her imprisoned brother, also known as War.
The latest extended Darksiders III gameplay focuses on the battle between Fury and Sloth. To win the fight, Fury summons her Flame Hallow power that adds some bonus fire damages to her deadly attacks and allows her to control fire to create even more powerful combos. Yesterday, we learned that Fury can also use the purple Force Hallow to create stone shields and strike enemies with heavy attacks.
It's hard to not notice some similarities to Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones analyzing the raw gameplay footage. Just like in the Ubisoft game, Fury uses her whip to slay grotesque enemies and travel through bigger areas. Players will have a chance to embark on a journey with Fury at the end of November, so be sure to prepare for the uneasy mission to kill the sins and watch the video below:
Return to an apocalyptic Earth in Darksiders III, a hack-n-slash Action Adventure where players assume the role of FURY in her quest to hunt down and dispose of the Seven Deadly Sins. The most unpredictable and enigmatic of the Four Horsemen, FURY must succeed where many have failed – to bring balance to the forces that now ravage Earth. Darksiders III is the long-anticipated, third chapter in the critically-acclaimed Darksiders franchise.
Darksiders III will be available for PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One on November 27, 2018.
