Yesterday, THQ Nordic announced that
Darksiders III's first physical copies have been manufactured, which means that nothing will stop Fury from hitting stores on November 27th. Design Director at Gunfire Games John Pearl has also revealed that the upcoming title has gone gold, which means that the pre-launch development phase has ended and the game is basically ready to launch worldwide.
Naturally, Gunfire Games won't stop working on the title, but will instead focus on the post-launch support, fixing the most notable bugs, and preparing a day-one patch that will eliminate the biggest technical issues. THQ has already announced two "available on a later date"
Darksiders III DLC which will be free for the owners of the game's Deluxe, Blades & Whip, Collector's, and Apocalypse Edition.
According to Gunfire Games Senior Designer Richard Vorodi, the story of
Darksiders III will be shorter than
Darksiders II, but the threequel will zoom in on Fury’s character, as we will apparently learn more about the third Horseman, why the way she is, and how we will come to terms with her actions while she embarks on a dangerous journey to free her imprisoned brother, also known as War.
Return to an apocalyptic Earth in Darksiders III, a hack-n-slash Action Adventure where players assume the role of FURY in her quest to hunt down and dispose of the Seven Deadly Sins. The most unpredictable and enigmatic of the Four Horsemen, FURY must succeed where many have failed – to bring balance to the forces that now ravage Earth. Darksiders III is the long-anticipated, third chapter in the critically-acclaimed Darksiders franchise.
Darksiders III will be available for PlayStation 4 , PC, and Xbox One on November 27, 2018.
