Anime Prologue For FINAL FANTASY XV: ARDYN Released Online

DLC episodes for Noctis, Lunafreya and Aranea have all been canceled but FFXV fans still have one last adventure with the upcoming release of Episode Ardyn.

After supporting FFXV for 2 years after its launch, fans of the game were stunned to learn that 3 out of the 4 remaining character-centric DLC episodes were being canceled and that director, Hajime Tabata, was departing Square Enix.  Fans had a long wait for Final Fantasy XV but the final product fell far short for many diehard fans.   Now, attention has turned towards the Final Fantasy VII remake, which faces its own problems.  If that remake can cash in on the nostalgia factor, the completion of Final Fantasy XVI seems unlikely.


UPDATE: It was just announced that the DLC episodes for Noctis, Lunafreya and Aranea would be woven into a novel titled Final Fantasy XV: The Dawn of the Future and released in Japan on April 26.  A second video was also released, featuring  Scenario Director Toru Osanai, Director Takefumi Terada, and Producer Yuji Shinoda where they answered fan questions.  It was implied that the story planned to be told within the 3 canceled DLCs would be released in other mediums besides the novel.
