Monster Hunter World has become Capcom's best-selling game ever with a staggering 7.5 million copies sold worldwide (including digital downloads) since its launch on January 26th this year.

The Monster Hunter series has been around for 14 years but hadn't seen a new game for home consoles in 9 years, which is probably what helped boost those sales, according to Capcom's official press release.

Monster Hunter World is out now for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
