Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. revealed a new trailer for their dark fantasy action RPG, The Blood of Dawnwalker, during this year’s Xbox Games Showcase. Scheduled for release in 2026, the game is now available to wishlist on digital storefronts and has debuted its first pre-beta gameplay footage, offering a look into its ambitious and atmospheric world. Give a watch to the trailer down below:

The trailer introduces players to Coen, a young man turned into a Dawnwalker a hybrid creature who remains human by day and becomes a vampire by night. As Coen learns to master his new abilities, players will navigate a richly detailed world of myth and war-torn Europe during the 14th century, where chaos from the Black Death and continental war set the stage for a supernatural uprising.

But that’s not all Rebel Wolves has coming up in the near future.

Solstice Reveal Livestream on June 21

To build on the momentum from the reveal, Rebel Wolves has announced a special Summer Solstice livestream event for June 21 at 12 p.m. PDT on the DawnwalkerGame Twitch channel. The stream will include:

  • 15 minutes of new gameplay footage
  • Extended developer commentary
  • Details on combat, exploration, and story systems

The solstice which symbolizes the longest day and shortest night aligns perfectly with the themes of The Blood of Dawnwalker, as it explores the contrast between light and darkness in both world and character development.

The 45-minute livestream will showcase key mechanics teased in the trailer, including a directional combat system that merges swordplay, magic, and vampiric abilities. Developers will also expand on Vale Sangora, the game’s world, and how day-night cycles dynamically alter gameplay, story progression, and exploration.

A New Vampire Saga Begins

The Blood of Dawnwalker is the first entry in what Rebel Wolves calls a “dark fantasy saga.” Players take control of Coen with only 30 days and nights to either save his family or seek revenge on the vampire who cursed him. The moral choices are steep: Will you cling to your remaining humanity, or embrace the darkness for power and vengeance?

Built on Unreal Engine 5, the game promises a hauntingly beautiful and immersive experience when it launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2026. Fans can tune in to the June 21 solstice stream for their next taste of this bloody tale.
