While it has been confirmed that, the Man of Steel himself, Henry Cavill has been cast as Geralt of Rivia in Netflix's currently in-development adaptation of The Witcher games, his companions' roles are still up in the air - at least as far as we're aware.
One of the series' most popular character would be that of Geralt's adpoted daughter Ciri, despite the recent controversy surrounding her casting, artist BossLogic recently took to Twitter to share some badass artwork of whom he and many others have long believed would be an obvious choice of actress - that being Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer.
Check out the fan-art below:
Though Dormer would look the part, there are a couple of reasons why she wouldn't fit the role - as BossLogic points out himself.
In the popular game series, Ciri is in her mid-twenties at most, while Dormer is unfortunately a decade beyond that. What's more is that Cavill, who will be playing Geralt, is actually a year younger than Dormer - meaning that they wouldn't really fit that adoptive father-daughter roles too well.
On top of that, a controversial leak that Netflix are looking for an under-18-year-old actress of colour would also seperate Dormer from the part.
What do you think of the casting? Who would you like to see in the role of Ciri? Are you looking forward to Netflix's live-action The Witcher series?
Netflix's The Witcher doesn't currently have a set release date.
