THE WITCHER III: WILD HUNT COMPLETE EDITION Announced For PlayStation 5 And Xbox Series X

CD Projekt RED has some great news for fans of The Witcher series, as they have revealed that the critically acclaimed The Witcher III: Wild Hunt is in development for next-gen consoles.

CD Projekt RED has got some great news for fans of the critically acclaimed The Witcher series, as they have officially announced that The Witcher II: Wild Hunt is currently in development for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X; bringing with it some graphical enhancements, of course.

The Witcher II: Wild Hunt was initially released in May of 2015, but for an almost 5 years old game it is still looking phenomenal in the graphics department, so it will definitely be interesting to see how much better the game will look on next-gen consoles.

It isn't just visuals that CD Projekt RED promises to work on in the next-gen version of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, as they also mention some technical enhancements, which makes us wonder if the developers will make the game compatible with the PlayStation 5's revolutionary DualSense controlelr for a more immersive experience.

The good news don't end there, though, since CD Projekt RED has also confirmed that both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt will be available as a free upgrade for those players who already own the current-gen version of the critically acclaimed title.

Unfortunately, The Witcher III: Wild Hunt for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X still doesn't have an official release date, but it is very likely that work on the game is done and ready to go, and CD Projekt RED is waiting for Sony and Microsoft to announce their consoles' respective launch dates; the game may even be available on day one, for all we know.

Winner of over 250 Game of the Year awards, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a story-driven, open world adventure set in a dark fantasy universe. You are Geralt of Rivia, mercenary monster slayer. At your disposal is every tool of the trade: razor-sharp swords, lethal mixtures, stealthy crossbows, and powerful combat magic. Before you stands a war-torn, monster-infested continent you can explore at will. Your current contract? Tracking down the Child of Prophecy, a living weapon that can alter the shape of the world.

The Witcher III: Wild Hunt is currently in development for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
