TONY HAWK'S PRO SKATER 1 + 2 Official Soundtrack Has Been Revealed, And Some Songs Are Missing

Activision has just revealed the official soundtrack for the recently announced Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, and it seems that not every tune is making a comeback after all.

Earlier this week Activision and Vicarious Visions surprised fans of the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series by announcing a collection that compiles the first entries in the critically acclaimed series; with brand-new graphics that breathe some fresh air into the long-neglected series.

Besides the graphical improvements, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is also bringing back the original games' praised soundtracks — widely considered to be two of the best video game soundtracks out there — which is probably one of the best news that fans could've gotten.

As revealed by Activision's official website for the recently announced game, they were bringing both games' soundtracks back, but they didn't specify exactly which themes were making a comeback, so most of us assumed that it would be every single one of the tunes; unfortunately, this isn't the case.

The developers revealed earlier today that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 will, indeed, be bringing back most of the all-time classic tunes from bands like Millencolin, Goldfinger, Rage Against the Machine, and Papa Roach — to name but a few of them — but not every track from both games made the cut.

A quick search will tell us that Evenrude's "Vilified" and Suicidal Tendencies' "Cyco Vision" are missing from the first Tony Hawk's Pro Skater game, while Anthrax & Public Enemy's "Bring the Noise", The High & Mighty's "B-Boy Document '99", and Alley Life's "Out with the Old" are missing from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2.

Interestingly enough, the official playlist for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 on Spotify is also listing one song by Speedealer, but it doesn't specify which one is it, so we don't know if it is "Screamer" or "Nothing to Me" the one that did make the final cut.

With all that said, the official soundtrack for the game is pretty much the complete experience, but it is slightly disappointing to see that not every track was able to make a comeback. Mad props to the ones who managed to license all of the songs currently present in the game, regardless.

The original birdman Tony Hawk and Vicarious Visions, the studio behind the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, have come together to bring back Tony Hawk’s™ Pro Skater™ 1 and 2, radically remastered for the PlayStation® 4, PlayStation® 4 Pro, the family of Xbox One devices from Microsoft, including the Xbox One X, and on PC via Epic!

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 will release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC(Epic) on the 4th of September.
