Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will see the player visit many a planet of the galaxy far, far away. To accomplish this, you'll of course be needing a ship, thankfull Respawn has got you covered. The Stinger Mantis will be the place that the player calls home and, thanks to
Comicbook.com, we now know a bunch of information about it.
Your ship is quite important to the game in that it will act as the veil which basically means that there won't be any loading screens. Flights happen in real time, therefore you'll be able to simply kill time on your ship while your destination loads.
You'll be able to fly the Stinger Mantis from planet to planet as you please. We don't know whether you'll be able to actually control your ship yourself or whether you'll be able to fly around within the atmosphere of a planet. Though those features would be cool, they will most likely not be included.
Respawn has confirmed that there will be activities for you to do in your ship, they just haven't revealed exactly what they are yet. Though you'd have to assume that there will be something like Dejarik on there (that's the game that Chewie and R2-D2 played in A New Hope).
Your ship with have an explorable interior much like
Mass Effect and
Warframe, however, at the moment we don't know whether you're able to customise that. We do know that you will be able to change up the appearance of the exterior of your ship to an extent.
