Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive have launched the latest major update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 titled “Trygon,” now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The update introduces an array of new features, including a terrifying PvE boss mission, a powerful new weapon, cosmetic packs, and several quality-of-life improvements aimed at enhancing both solo and multiplayer experiences.

Check out the trailer for the update followed by the complete details for it down below:

Face the Trygon in “Exfiltration” PvE Mission

At the heart of the “Trygon” update is a brand-new PvE mission called “Exfiltration.” Players are deployed back to the storm-ravaged world of Avarax to face off against the enormous Trygon, a brutal Tyranid boss known for its guerrilla tactics and ability to strike from underground. The Trygon adds a fresh layer of intensity to the game’s ninth PvE operation, requiring strategy, coordination, and nerve to overcome.

Unleash the Power of the Inferno Pistol

Accompanying the new mission is the introduction of the Inferno Pistol, a powerful new secondary weapon that delivers fiery destruction at close range. Players can now add this weapon to their loadouts, providing an exciting new option for dealing with tightly packed Tyranid swarms or high-priority targets.

Prestige System, Custom PvP Lobbies, and Visual Updates

The “Trygon” update also brings a host of quality-of-life upgrades. A new Prestige system allows players to earn Prestige Ranks and unlock exclusive rewards. Weapon perks across multiple loadouts have been rebalanced, and a long-awaited customization feature has been added: players can now change the color of cloth, tabards, and hoods for all classes.

In addition, players can now access fully customizable PvP lobbies. These lobbies support up to 12 players and offer full control over Eternal War match settings, making it easier for groups to organize personalized multiplayer battles.

New DLCs: Space Wolves and Imperial Fists Packs

Alongside the free content, two new cosmetic DLCs have been released for Season Pass holders. The Space Wolves Chapter Pack includes a new Champion skin for the Vanguard, themed weapon skins for the Chainsword, Bolt Carbine, and Thunder Hammer, and over 50 unique cosmetics referencing the Chapter’s iconic 12 Great Companies.

Meanwhile, the Imperial Fists Champion Pack adds a new Champion skin for the Tactical class and a unique Plasma Incinerator skin, paying tribute to the stoic Sons of Dorn.

Prepare for Battle

The “Trygon” update is part of Focus and Saber’s ongoing commitment to expanding the Space Marine 2 experience with new content and enhanced customization options. Whether you’re eager to face the monstrous Trygon, experiment with new weapons, or represent your favorite Chapter in style, this update offers something for every fan of the Warhammer 40K universe.
