YIIK: A Postmodern RPG (pronounced: "why-two-kay"), is a certain ode to the kids growing up prior to the turn of the century, all wrapped up nicely in a 3D J-RPG (Japanese-style RPG). Developed by
Ackk Studios and published by
ysbryd Games, this single player turn-based RPG game doesn't take itself seriously and certainly hopes its players do the same, as it certainly touches on socially aware issues and norms of the 90s.
Players will enjoy this turn-based action featuring up 8 playable characters, and a rather expansive thirty hour playtime for the campaign and side quests, as well as countless oddities featured in battle mechanics and the surrounding environments alike.
Here is the official launch trailer for
YIIK: A Postmodern RPG:
A woman vanishes before Alex's eyes in an elevator. This fresh college graduate must now put together a team of his internet friends to figure out what happened to her in this perfectly odd little J-RPG style indie title.
YIIK: A Postmodern RPG is available now for Windows PC & MacOS (via Steam), Playstation 4, Playstation Vita, and Nintendo Switch retailing for
$19.99 USD.
