Earlier today, The Pokémon Company and Nintendo streamed a special presentation that revealed a bunch of new Pokémon games for mobile devices with Pokémon Smile and Pokémon Café Mix, as well as a brand-new entry in the Pokémon Snap series in the form of New Pokémon Snap.
The best news was yet to come, as President and CEO of The Pokémon Company Tsunekazu Ishihara saved the best news for last — announcing that they are currently working on another big project; one that they will be revealing on the 24th of June.
Ishihara didn't even give fans a hint as to what this mysterious project he alluded could be. This isn't to say that there weren't any hidden hints in the presentation, as fans are pretty sure that next week's announcement could be a Pokémon Let's Go title in the same vein of Pokemon Let's Go, Pikachu/Eevee! that released in 2018.
During the presentation, if we take a closer look at what's behind Ishihara, fans were able to spot several Pokémon creatures from the Johto region; leading them to believe that this theorised "Pokémon Let's Go!" game could be a remake of Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver.
While this is still pure speculation, fans may be right on this one. It is very unlikely that this big new project is a brand-new Pokémon game when considering that Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield have not been out for a year yet, and a remake of Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver is very plausible. We'll find out next Wednesday.
