Amazon Has Already Sold Out Of The Nintendo Switch Less Than A Day After Its Unveiling

It's being reported that Amazon has already sold out of their first wave on Nintendo Switch consoles. That's good news for Nintendo, but not for games who have yet to place their pre-orders for the system...

If you're for some reason under the impression that there's no need to pre-order the Nintendo Switch, you may want to think again! Less than 24 hours after that big presentation, it's being reported that a number of online retailers have sold out of their allocated launch stock ahead of the console's March 3rd debut. On both the US and UK versions of Amazon, the Nintendo Switch is already out of stock!

While it is still available on a select few sites, most places seem to be selling out fast, and it now looks like there will be a serious shortage of the consoles a couple of months from now. It's possible that Nintendo will ship more out to meet demand, but it's equally just as likely that they won't be able to. We'll just have to wait and see, but orders like this are definitely a pretty good start for the Switch.

After all, many have been quick to criticise the presentation and initial line-up of games, but the fact that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is also coming on March 3rd seems to have really helped!
