Nintendo has shared a brand-new story trailer for PlatinumGames' critically acclaimed Astral Chain, which is also a low-key accolades trailer that flaunts the game's near-perfect scores.

PlatinumGames' Astral Chain, a new action-adventure game with hack and slash elements, was released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch at the end of August; almost immediately getting praise from critics and players alike.

While the reviews for the game were great, there was a little bit of a controversy due to the user score being ridiculously low on Metacritic. The reason? Players that own other consoles were upset because Astral Chain was being released as a Nintendo Switch exclusive.

In spite of the low reviews, Nintendo Switch owners weren't discouraged by all of this controversy and purchased the game any way — confirming that the critic scores the game was getting were accurate, as most people who have tried out Astral Chain have nothing but praise for the title. 

Today nintendo has released a brand-new story trailer that is also a low-key accolades trailer that flaunts some of the near-perfect scores PlatinumGames' Astral Chain has been getting, as well as providing context for those who have yet to pick the game up.

Astral Chain is a new action game from PlatinumGames, the creators of the Bayonetta™ series. As part of a police special forces unit in a multi-cultural futuristic city, players work together with a humanoid special weapon, Legion, in a synergetic action system of battle and exploration.

Astral Chain is currently available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
