Nintendo has finally released the
Luigi's Mansion remaster for the Nintendo 3DS. The game was announced back in March of this year and would see Mario's younger brother Luigi back in action hunting ghosts.
The original game was released in 2001 for the Nintendo GameCube as a launch title, becoming the first Luigi game to ever debut a console, as well as the first official game starring Luigi...because
Mario's Time Machine and
Mario is Missing don't count.
The remastered version of
Luigi's Mansion isn't really introducing that many new elements to the game; the only difference here is that it is now available for anyone who didn't get to play the game 17 years ago when it came out, as well as releasing on a handheld console.
Today, Nintendo has released an overview trailer for Luigi's Mansion on the Nintendo 3DS, which introduces us to some of the characters Luigi will come across in his adventure, some gameplay mechanics that have been added in this version, and a lot of ghost hunting action.
Take a look:
Time to suck those suckers up because Luigi is back in the first portable version of this spooky classic. After winning a mansion in a contest he didn't enter, he must beat its many bosses and puzzles.
Luigi's Mansion is available for the Nintendo 3DS today.
