If there is one thing that people still give Nintendo flak for, are the slightly overpriced Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers. Each Nintendo Switch Pro Controller can cost up to $80 USD, making them a bit more expensive than other companies' controllers.

The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller are wireless and include Gyro controls, NFC reader for the amiibo, HD Rumble, and a USB Type C port to charge it. Some of these features, like the NFC reader, make the controller expensive, for sure, but it is still the best way to play on the Nintendo Switch—as well as it being a fantastic controller in its own right.

Because of how pricey the Pro Controller is, some third party companies have manufactured their very own version of the controller. PowerA is one of the manufacturers that have been officially licensed by Nintendo to make Pro Controllers for the Switch and they have delivered some nice quality products.

The first Nintendo-licensed PowerA controllers were a lot less expensive than the official Pro Controller by Nintendo, but they lacked a few features that limited the experience. NFC reader, HD Rumble, and Gyro controls are some of the sacrifices PowerA had to make in order to reduce costs—not to mention the controller was wired and could not be used, at all, when not connected to the console via its USB port.

Luckily, PowerA is now introducing the Enhanced Nintendo Switch Pro Controller that not only look great, but are also supporting wireless connection, Gyro Controls, mappable buttons, and only cost $49.99 USD. While the NFC reader and HD Rumble are still not part of the Enhanced Pro Controller, it is still a great deal for players who don't want to pay $80 USD for the official controller but still want the essentials, and comfortability.

The PowerA Enhanced Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers are now available for pre-orders at the official PowerA site—which features a colourful variety of controllers, including Mario and Zelda-themed controllers.
