KRAFTON, Inc. is turning up the heat this summer with Update 36.2 for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, delivering a genre-bending crossover with global K-pop sensation aespa. PC players can dive in now, while console players will get access on July 17th.
The update blends tactical gunfights with stylish performances, bringing an original aespa music track, themed locations, and brand-new clan features to the battlefield. Here's everything dropping in one of PUBG's most visually ambitious updates to date.
aespa Takes the Stage in PUBG
For the first time ever, PUBG is collaborating with a K-pop group and they’re going big. aespa’s arrival includes heaps of new content such as:
- aespa-themed zones and concert venues on Miramar
- Visual enhancements across all 8x8 maps, including:
- Custom care packages
- Planes with aespa branding
- A special emote stage where players can perform aespa dance moves
- A brand-new music track, composed exclusively for the collaboration
The rollout will include a teaser film, music previews, and an official collaboration video, culminating in the full content drop on July 15th. PUBG has never looked or sounded like this before.
Vehicle Camouflage Netting Gets a Boost
First introduced in Update 35.2, Vehicle Camouflage Netting gets some major buffs in 36.2:
- Increased bullet durability, making vehicles slightly more viable in firefights
- Now available not just on Erangel and Miramar, but also Rondo and Taego
This improvement adds a tactical edge for sneaky squads looking to stay mobile while hidden.
Clan System Upgrades Add Prestige and Identity
Update 36.2 also includes enhancements to PUBG’s Clan System, focusing on both competition and style:
- A new Weekly Ranking Page, letting clans track performance and flex their dominance
- Clan Tag Plates, giving members more ways to represent their group in-game
These updates are meant to reinforce PUBG’s competitive edge while fostering a stronger sense of identity for players grouped under one banner.
