Nintendo recently revealed that
Super Mario Maker 2 will be officially releasing, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch, on the 28th of June. The good news didn't stop there, though, as the developer also revealed that customers who pre-order the game will be getting a
Super Mario Maker 2-themed Stylus.
The original
Super Mario Maker was released for the Nintendo Wii U, which included a gamepad with a resistive touchscreen and a stylus for extra precision when touching the screen. Given that the Nintendo Switch doesn't feature a stylus due to the screen being capacitive, players wondered if the new game would still be as user-friendly as the Wii U version.
The
Super Mario Maker 2 stylus will help players create their levels with the same precision of the original game, but there's a catch; so far, Nintendo has revealed that this pre-order will only available in Japan and Europe.
Another thing that sounds somewhat concerning, is the fact that this offer is only for the physical version of the game. If players are purchasing
Super Mario Maker 2 digitally, they will have to pre-order the Limited Edition version of the game; perhaps meaning that this stylus will also be offered in limited quantities.
Nintendo has not mentioned anything about the
Super Mario Maker 2-themed stylus being released in North America, so we'll just have to be patient and keep our fingers crossed for this to be the case.
In this new game, a sequel to the original Wii U™ game, players can create the Super Mario courses of their dreams, with access to even more tools, items and features, including the new ability to create slopes for the first time.
Super Mario Maker 2 will be available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on the 28th of June.
