Of all the Wii titles that Nintendo could've chosen to remaster, MonolithSoft's Xenoblade Chronicles is definitely one that fans didn't even think could ever happen. The game had already been ported to the New Nintendo 3DS in 2015, which made it less likely to be remastered for the Switch.
If anything, players could've expected to see the Wii U's Xenoblade Chronicles X being ported to the Nintendo Switch, which is why it was such a pleasant surprise to find out that Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition was already in the works — and it looks simply amazing.
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is just a prettier version ofthe original Wii title, as the music is also getting the remaster treatment — which is great news, considering just how sublime the game's soundtrack is.
Today, Nintendo has shared a short audio clip that gives us a taste of Gaur Plain's remastered music track, which is one that players will be hearing a lot on their adventures, and it sounds absolutely amazing. It is also worth mentioning that players will be able to choose between the original soundtrack or the remastered version.
Give it a listen:
