When developer MonolithSoft and Nintendo announced Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, fans of the original game were immediately surprised by how good this definitive edition looks in comparison to the Wii title. As time went on, the developers revealed that music in this new game was also getting the remaster treatment.
As it turns out, Xenoblade Chronicles: Defiitive Edition isn't just a prettier version of the Wii game, since MonolithSoft and Nintendo have revealed that they have added a brand-new campaign in the form of "Future Connected" — which is an epilogue episode that begins right after the events of Xenoblade Chronicles.
MonolithSoft has also made it clear that players will be able to play the "Future Connected" epilogue as soon as they play the game; completing the game is not a requirement, and this is definitely some great news for those who want to dive into the new campaign right away.
Xenoblade Chronicle: Definitive Edition's "Future Connected" epilogue is also featuring some brand-new music and — now that we are only two days away from the game's release — Nintendo has shared a snippet of this episode's brand-new battle theme. As it is to be expected from MonolithSoft, this theme will definitely get players pumped, and ready for battle.
Give it a listen:
MONOLITHSOFT’s epic Xenoblade Chronicles game, which originally launched in 2012 on the Wii system, is destined to be reborn on Nintendo Switch as Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. The game, which chronicles the adventures of Shulk and Fiora, is scheduled to launch for Nintendo Switch in 2020.
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will release exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on the 29th of May.
