There's no denying that the announcements of
Starfield and
The Elder Scrolls VI were some of the biggest news of last year's E3. Considering that it's been almost a year since those huge reveals, one would expect that Bethesda Softworks would showcase the games during their press conference at E3 2019. Unfortunately, it will not be the case – at least according to
Fallout 76 Director Todd Howard.
During a live stream at PAX East, Howard confirmed that neither
TESVI nor
Starfield will get the spotlight at E3 2019. “
Before everyone asks, please be patient. It’s going to be a long time," Howard said. "
It’s not something we’re going to be talking about at E3, either of those games, this year. And so patience, please, but you know, given the anniversary, we did want to give everybody a taste…”
Given that Bethesda's latest title,
Fallout 76, launched in November as a clearly rushed and unfinished titled full of game-breaking bugs and systems that regular contradict each other, the fact that Howard's crew is seemingly taking their time with both
Starfield and the sequel to
TESV: Skyrim is a great news.
Bethesda Softworks’ annual media briefing at E3 will take place on June 9th, at 5:30 p.m. PT in Los Angeles, most definitely featuring some new details on
DOOM: Eternal and
Wolfenstein: Youngblood.
In the meantime, take a closer look at the game's announcement trailers from last year's E3 below:
