According to Capcom's latest financial report, the Japanese company is stronger than ever thanks to Monster Hunter: World's incredible sales numbers, as the game has sold at least 7.9 million units since its January launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Capcom's future also looks pretty good, as both Devil May Cry V and Resident Evil 2 (remake) are two of the most anticipated games of 2019.
In the most recent interview with Famitsu, veteran Capcom producer Jun Takeuchi (the producer for Onimusha 3 and Lost Planet, chief producer for Resident Evil 5), revealed that the Japanese company is looking for a solution that will allow the developer produce at least four big-budget video games simultaneously, as their current plan involves releasing approximately three major titles each year.
We know that Capcom will launch two AAA titles in 2019 (DMCV and RE2), but Capcom might launch one more video game next year that will surprise the gaming community, at least in Takeuchi's opinion. While we have no idea what it might be, the latest rumors suggest that Capcom has canned the post-launch support for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite to focus on a proper Marvel vs. Capcom 5.
