Hideo Kojima has surprised us all by revealing, during this year's Sand Diego Comic-Con, that
John Wick series' star Keanu Reeves was at one point considered to play one of the main characters in the highly anticipated
Death Stranding.
The role Reeves was considered for ended up going to Mads Mikkelsen, who is now playing Heartman in
Death Stranding. According to Kojima, "
I originally was recommended Keanu Reeves but I wanted Mads[Mikkelsen]."
Although Keanu Reeves has always been a huge Hollywood star, he's recently been getting a lot of positive attention thanks to the fantastic
John Wick series of films, and was also revealed to be starring in CD Projekt Red's upcoming
Cyberpunk 2077.
Again, Reeve's popularity doesn't go unnoticed, and it is highly likely that he will end up starring in yet another game rather sooner than later, but him already being part of
Cyberpunk 2077 is great news for fans of the actor. It is undeniable, however, that it would've been great to also see him starring in
Death Stranding.
