There are quite a bunch of things that players point out to describe Nintendo's very own Mario, from things like his jumping skills, his red overalls and hat, his love for coins, and his iconic mustache.

As a bit of interesting trivia, Mario's iconic mustache was initially added by Super Mario Bros. series creator, Shigeru Miyamoto, as a way to distinguish Mario's nose; giving Nintendo's official mascot the look that now everybody instantly recognizes.

Players have always wondered, however, what Mario would look like if he were to shave that mustache off, and a recent mod for Super Mario Odyssey does exactly that: see Mario without his iconic mustache.

This mod for Super Mario Odyssey was created by Gamebanana user "M&M", and gameplay of Super Mario Odyssey using this mod was recently uploaded by YouTube gaming channel ProsafiaGaming; for those curious to see what Mario would look like completely shaved.

Use amazing new abilities—like the power to capture and control objects, animals, and enemies—to collect Power Moons so you can power up the Odyssey airship and save Princess Peach from Bowser's wedding plans!

Super Mario Odyssey is currently available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
