With Capcom reinventing the Mega Man series, Mega Man 11 comes as a breath of fresh air while still keeping all of the core elements that have made Capcom's Blue Bomber what it is today.

The character has been redesigned just enough for our hero to be still recognisable, while noticing some design choices that have made the Blue Bomber look cooler all around. But it hasn't been always like this since, for the longest time, it seemed like Capcom didn't know what to do with the franchise; trying out different art styles, as well as adding new gimmicks that were hit or miss amongst longtime fans.

Mega Man 11 is a return to form in every sense, bringing back all of the previous elements that worked and getting rid of the gimmicks that didn't. But how much has been changed and how much feels completely new while still somewhat familiar?

The people over at Digital Foundry have done a thorough analysis of Mega Man 11; from the game's new look, performance across all available platforms, level design, and even go as far as comparing it to other controversial projects like the fiasco that was Mighty No. 9—the game developed by self-proclaimed father of Mega Man, Keiji Inafune, that was supposed to fill our Mega Man needs on account of Capcom not doing anything with the series.

Take a look:
