There's no doubt that Blizzard Entertainment’s highly acclaimed digital strategy card game Hearthstone that has been released worldwide on March 11, 2014 is a massive hit among gamers, as it allows you to start playing for free and wield your cards to sling spells, summon creatures, and command the heroes of Warcraft. As of May 2017, Blizzard has reported more than 70 million Hearthstone players.
Blizzard doesn't plan to stop supporting the project anytime soon as latest expansion titled The Boomsday Project was unofficially announced today in a YouTube video on the official Hearthstone channel which was sadly taken down within an hour. The Boomsday Project is a science and research facility run by Dr Boom, who's a reference to Marvel villain Victor von Doom, or just, Doctor Doom.
According to the leaked cinematic trailer, The Boomsday Project will be released on August 7, 2018. A few cards were shown off in the initial teaser, featuring a new mechanic called Magnetic, a series of Omega cards and a series of Project cards. The official card reveal will reportedly start July 23 with the traditional Hearthstone kickoff livestream. Be sure to check out the new (leaked) cards down below:
