Borderlands 3 finally released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC almost two weeks ago.

As you can see, there's an absentee from the quartet of platforms and it's the Nintendo Switch. To this day, not a single Borderlands game has made its way onto Nintendo's handheld console. However, the creative director of the newest installment says that all hope isn't lost.

Recently, the first episode of The Borderlands Show debuted wherein hosts Greg Miller and Fran Mirabella when joined by Paul Sage. The pair of hosts would shoot quickfire questions at the creative director that came directly from the show's audience. An hour and twenty-one minutes in, a viewer asked about the chances of the Borderlands series making the jump to the Switch.

"Never say never," Sage replied. He's not the first person at Gearbox Software to admit that the looter-shooter series could come to the Switch as the studio's CEO said that he'd love for such a thing to happen back in April. Below you can check out the Gearbox CEO's tweet as well as the episode of The Borderlands Show in question.

Borderlands 3 is out now for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
