The highlight of this phase is the opening of Blackwing Lair, the dreaded stronghold of Nefarian, son of Deathwing. Located at the summit of Blackrock Spire, this Level 60 classic raid features eight unique bosses, including the corrupted dragon Vaelastrasz, the terrifying experiment Chromaggus, and Nefarian himself. Players who complete the attunement process and assemble their strongest raid teams will face formidable challenges and reap powerful rewards. Expect to farm Tier 2 set pieces like Judgement Armor for Paladins and Bloodfang Armor for Rogues, along with powerful loot like the Dragonbreath Hand Cannon and Chromatically Tempered Sword.
Tier 2 helms and legs remain in Onyxia’s Lair and Molten Core respectively, but Blackwing Lair brings bracers, boots, belts, gloves, shoulders, and chest pieces into play. Elementium Ore also makes its debut, a crucial component in crafting the legendary and sought after blade, Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker.
In addition to new raid content, Level 50 class quests are now live. Players can begin these adventures by visiting their class trainers and ultimately journey into the depths of the Temple of Atal’Hakkar. Reputation rewards with factions like the Argent Dawn, Timbermaw Hold, and Warsong Outriders have also been expanded.
Adding to the fun is the return of the Darkmoon Faire, arriving in Mulgore and Elwynn Forest to delight players with exotic games, prizes, and mysterious attractions. Get ready for a trip down memory lane—and maybe a few surprises.
But Phase 3 doesn’t stop there. On April 3, PvP Phase 3 content rolls out with the Arathi Basin battleground and the removal of the PvP Honor Rank 11 cap, allowing players to pursue the coveted Rank 14 titles and gear. Arathi Basin offers 15v15 battles over five resource points, with the first team to hit 2,000 resources taking the win.
Additionally, Battleground Holidays kick off that same weekend, starting with Arathi Basin. Every weekend will now offer increased Honor and Faction rewards when participating in the featured battleground.
Whether you're raiding, PvPing, or chasing prizes at the Darkmoon Faire, there's no shortage of content in Phase 3 of WoW Classic. The world is waiting get in there now!
