Riot Games and Carry International have officially opened the new League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) Arena, a state-of-the-art facility located in Datong District, Taipei. This marks a significant milestone for esports in the Asia-Pacific region as the LCP now has a permanent home, dedicated to delivering top-tier live esports experiences to fans.
Opening Weekend a Sellout Success
Tickets for the opening weekend on April 19th–20th sold out the same day they were released, signaling overwhelming enthusiasm from the community. The arena will now host all live LCP matches starting from Mid Season.
“It was always our wish to have a permanent esports home for our region,” said Sean Oh, General Manager of APAC Publishing and Esports at Riot Games. “We’re glad to see the community share our enthusiasm.”
Jerry Yen, Chairman of Carry International, echoed the excitement, calling the new venue “a dream come true” after four years of collaboration with Riot.
Celebrating a New Era for LCP
The grand opening celebration featured a trophy presentation to CTBC Flying Oyster for their LCP Season Kickoff victory, and a commemorative banner was signed by team reps, Riot staff, and partners.
