Following the ESRB's recent "announcement" of the PC port of
Yakuza Kiwami 2, Sega has decided to add more fuel to the speculation that the 2018 title is getting ported, updating the first game's Steam page. While the change isn't huge, it is a telling one, as the publisher has switched the original remaster's logo into a picture of Goro Majima's eyepatch. Given that Majima-centered missions were added into the remaster of 2006's title, it's safe to say that Sega is getting ready to unveil the port.
As a reminder, the Entertainment Software Rating Board (or – the ESRB) leaked the PC port' last week.
At its core,
Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a remake of 2006's
Yakuza 2, continuing Kazuma Kiryu's action-packed story. Considering that the PC port of the first
Kiwami supports uncapped frame rates and 4K, it's understandable to expect similar features in the yet-to-be-announced Steam version of the game.
At the time of writing, Sega had not revealed any plans to bring
Kiwami 2 to PC, but be sure to take a closer look at the said logo down below, just in case Sega announces the port in the coming days.
One of the most beloved storylines in the Yakuza franchise's history has returned in full HD in the Dragon Engine for PlayStation®4. Yakuza Kiwami 2 features the return of mini games like Cabaret, a revamped clan creator and the original arcade release of Virtual-On™, Kazuma Kiryu will have plenty of leisure activities when he isn't taking on his fierce rival, the Dragon of Kansai, Ryuji Goda.
