Ghost of Tsushima is probably one of those projects that have had PlayStation players the most excited about, while also being one of the game's that the developers themselves have shared the least amount of information for; or, at least, at the beginning.
Developer Sucker Punch has since released a tonne of information about the highly anticipated title, and has also shared a lot of gamemplay for the — which only makes fans even more excited for Ghost of Tsushima. For the longest time, however, the game didn 't have an official release date, until the developer finally announced — in March of this year — that the game would release on the 26th of June.
Just last month — after several developers announcing that their games were being pushed back on account of the Coronavirus pandemic — Sucker Punch revealed that the long-awaited title would not be pushed back; confirming that the game would, indeed, be releasing in June.
Unfortunately, Ghost of Tsushima will not be releasing on the 26th of June as originally intended, as new information posted on the official PlayStation Blog has revealed that Sucker Punch is delaying the game on account of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The good news is that the game has not been pushed back dramatically, and PlayStation 4 players will only have to wait a few extra weeks for Ghost of Tsushima to become available, as Sucker Punch's highly anticipated game will finally launch on Sony's platform on the 17th of July.
In 1274, the fearsome Mongol Empire invades the Japanese island of Tsushima and slaughters its legendary samurai defenders. Jin Sakai is one of the last survivors of a noble samurai clan. To combat his overwhelming foes, he must pioneer deadly new fighting techniques--the way of The Ghost--and wage an unconventional war for the people of Japan.
Ghost of Tsushima is expected to release exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on the 17th of July.
