Ikaruga is a vertically-scrolling shoot 'em up released in 2003, and is a spiritual successor to
Radiant Silvergun—both games developed by Treasure Video Games. The game was then released for the Gamecube, Xbox 360 and PC with no PlayStation port in sight.
Ikaruga was also
released on the Nintendo Switch after
being teased on the verified Twitter account for Treasure. Now it's time for the PlayStation 4 to get a tease—also coming from a post on the official Twitter of the developer.
As reported by
Gematsu, Ikaruga is already running on the PlayStation 4 and almost ready for take off. The tweet from Treasure was translated by the people over at Gematsu and this is what it says:
"
Ikaruga is running on PS4! The title screen is (C) Treasure-only. PlayStation 4 users, please wait just a little bit longer after this. Next week will be the official announcement, and it will be released soon."
If we go by the tease for the Nintendo Switch version of the game,
Ikaruga for the PlayStation 4 could well be releasing a month from now, especially now that they've confirmed an official announcement for the game next week—most likely during the E3. So, all that fans of the game have to do now is play the waiting game before they get to play
Ikaruga on the PlayStation 4.
