One of the most promising additions to the new God of War is the father/son dynamic between Kratos and Atreus. With audiences having become familiar with a gruff, solo protagonist in past games, this new element enriches the game's story and characters and creates exciting dimensions to the gameplay.

The trailer below showcases the duo taking on various wild animals and mythological creatures. Under the stern gaze of Kratos, it is clear that Atreus has much to learn and that his skills will improve exponentially in their journey together.

Have a look and tell us if you will be purchasing the game when it launches on April 20th 2018.

God of War is exclusive to the Playstation 4.
